PASTRY CHEF & OWNER
Genevieve, pastry chef and owner, embarked on her pastry journey after a diverse career path. Initially a corporate paralegal, she returned to school for design and worked as an interior designer and construction manager. Genevieve's love for baking started in childhood with her favorite toy, the "Easy Bake Oven," and was fueled by her fascination with baking shows. She began making event cakes for family and friends, combining her passion for baking and design.
While excelling in her corporate job, Genevieve pursued her true passion by attending pastry school to master the art of baking and pastry arts. She further refined her artistry skills by learning from renowned European patissiers like Kirsten Tibballs, Antonio Bachour, and Bavette Ettore Cioccia through immersive online courses.
Genevieve resides in Elgin, IL, with her husband, Mike and their three furry babies, Georgie, Rosie & Phoebe. In her spare time, she revels in spending time with family and friends, traveling to new destinations, attending live music and theater performances, exploring farmers markets, assembling intricate miniature architectural models, and continuously expanding her culinary expertise. Genevieve’s journey is a testament to blending creativity, design, and culinary excellence into a fulfilling and exciting career.
